 Iquitos lies landlocked in the great Amazon Basin in Northern Peru. With no roads connecting Iquitos to the outside world due to its remoteness within the great Amazon rainforests, this jungle city is only accessible by the Amazon River or by plane. A fascinating location in itself, Iquitos is also our launching point from which we begin our boat journey up the Amazon River and then to the tributary that takes us to our remote rainforest location.
